Did you personnaly have to make a choice and what helped you to make it?
I'm American; I think here you actively have to seek out Orthodoxy...after belonging to one of the larger protestant denominations in the US for most of my life (Southern Baptist), I became increasingly concerned about changes in both teaching and practice. This set me off on a search for the historic Christian faith and church of antiquity. When you do that, Orthodoxy is the answer. Any questions I may have had ended the first time I went to an Orthodox liturgy. It is the gate to heaven.
